T Lock
The Tlock Solenoid on the 700 Has what appears to be 4 Wires going Into It. Does anyone have a diagram or something detailing Wich of these does what ? With the intent of Fabbing a manual switch in Mind.
Thanks..

The A wire is the 12 volt feed and the D wire goes back to the computer to complte the ground when L/U is controlled on. Depending on how the switches are inside the trans you can manipulate the ground on the tranny to enable L/U.

So, theoretically, I could power the 12v A wire, and switch the D wire to ground, and In that manner control Lockup ?
Thanks.

Yes, but you should already have the 12 volt signal so you would just have to take over the ground control. Bear in mind though that there is likely going to be a switch inside the trans that is inline with the circuit tht could have an effect on it too.

Well the trans is going into a 78 vette, So there is no existing Source
When you say a switch inside the trans, You mean like a line pressure controlled lockup ? There shouldnt Be one, as the lockup is controlled by the computer...

There are varying switch arrangements inside of these units (@20 different combo's). They are used to both send info back to the computer (the other wires) or are in series with the A and D wires to complete a circuit when a given gear is reached or to signal an interupt during a gear change. Some do have a direct in and out though. I can get the number for you if you want it.

Transmission: 700R4
From what I remember, there is a switch inside the trans that checks fluid pressure. Here's a link that has a wiring diagram for a 700r4 going into a non-computer-controlled car (it's at the bottom): http://www.thegrid.net/thedrivetrainpage/700inst.htm
