tranny mounts are different in my '85 and '89
I think my IROC might have been modified from the stock type transmission mount. It looks different than my formula's mount.
Both have 700R4's(I hope)
I never can be sure about the camaro. I checked the camaro and it's crossmemeber is in the same holes and it looks about the same.
Would the year diffrence account the mount differences?

-velcro t-top bag
-Wonder Bar from my IROC
*****Possible future mods*****
4th gen seats, fiberglass spoiler, new paint
1985 IROC-Z, TPI Auto
-Accel Super Coil
engine and tranny overhauls coming this summer

What looks different? One of them might have the secondary tranny mount that is found on some third-gens.

It looks like the camaro has a mount that mounts the tranny to a "metal plate" and then the metal plate is mounted to the crossmember.
The firebird just has a mount that connects the crossmember and the tranny.

The actual mount is the same, but for some reason some models have the secondary mount. My v6 camaro has the secondary and my 'bird doesn't. Same year (88)
Energy suspension also makes the secondary mounts in urthane is you need them... I know summit has 'em.
