Nothing to do with a camaro

I have a question for one of the trans guys here.
I am doing a complete upgrade for my brother in laws truck. 1992 e4od tranny.
All parts are the new upgrades, with a Transgo kit.

When I got updated center support (bearing type), they gave me the one with the pilot shaft on the end (pre 95).

He got a new output shaft from Ford (changing truck to 4WD) and they gave him the output shaft that has the orifice plug, but the hole is smaller and the pilot shaft (bushing was eliminated 95-up) on the center support is not going to fit.

My question is, they make a non pilot shaft center support for that year trans. Should I have him take the output shaft back, or get the other center support???
If I get a new output shaft, I will have to remove the bushing and put a cup plug in it.

Seeing as there seems to be two ways to do this, what would you do???

Thanks

Do NOT use that piece of $%!#. I didn't think there was anybody still cutting down stock parts for this mod. It WILL break. Go get the parts right from Ford.

Which part??
I don't plan on cutting off the pilot shaft on a brand new center support.
Should I take the support back, or the output shaft. There are 2 versions of this
S#$%! for the same year.
Is removing the bushing and installing the cup plug the right mod? Whats the deal here Leo?? I don't plan on doing this twice!!!

Thanks.

Get rid of the shaft. The Ford kit will come with the cup plug, shaft and center support. Just make sure that the support doesn't leak between the feed hole in the aluminum support and the 'out' hole on the tower. I have seen this happen.
