if you got a 5 speed and you are trying to downshift and recently it wont go into 2nd unless you go to a different gear and go back, what kind of problem is happening?like it totally wont go into gear

 

So you are saying that if you wanted to go 3-2 you have to move the shifter to 4 or 1 then into 1? What happens when you upshift in to 2? It sounds like a cashed blocker ring but that can't be if your upshifts are ok.
