TC question and help

i am in the need for a TC but i do not want to upgrade to a high performance one at this time. i was woundering if there was a difference from a corvette TC and the one that is used on the 700r4 . my car is a 1987 L98. are there anyother gm TC that can be used as well and what one would be best suited untill i am ready for a high perf one. thanks in advance. only mods on this engine are just the simple free mods.

The Vette converter is a little looser than a run of the mill 700 but nothing extreme. Probably a good choice if you can get one easily. When you are ready for a converter I suggest you call Continental Converters in Ca.

Looser means a higher stall while tighter is lower. For most somewhat modified small blocks it will work fine.
