tranny neutral question

Engine: 5 litre 305
Transmission: 700r4
tranny neutral question

just fitted my transmition today, just got it back from being re built, its a 700r4, just wondering if i put it in neutral should i be able to turn the end by hand where the prop goes in or should it be a bit tough,

one direction will turn harder than the other. counter clockwise will turn easier on the 700r4. a pipe wrench turns it both directions fairly easy though. All 700r4's are that way even after a rebuild.

thanks for the info, i could not turn it by hand but could with molegripps just did not think it was right, im gonna put car on the ground later and see if i can push it forward and back in neutral, think that should tell me
