clunking noise from rear when coming off the freeway?

When I come off the freeway after driving for a while (5-10 miles) sometimes I hear a clunk that sounds like it's coming from my differential. 95% of the time i drive on surface streets so it doesn't happen often, but it does happen and worries me that something might be broken. Any help as to what it might be? I am going to put the car up soon to install my alston sfc's so any info on what to look for would be helpful. thanks.

While you're under there, check your tranny mount and torque arm mount.
