Transmission Service Question

Hi guys, just one quick question.

I'm looking at taking my car in for a transmission service at Pep Boys. They say that they'll drain the fluid, replace the filter, and refill it.

Is there some kind of "filter" in your transmission or something? And if so, what brand should I go for? AC Delco?

[EDIT]Also, is there a "good" transmission fluid out there, or is transmission fluid all the same?[/EDIT]

Thanks again!

Jason

First off, you will get whatever they sell you which means bulk oil and whatever the lowest price was for a crate of filters.

Find a mechanic you trust and have him and not poop boys work on your pride and joy, or get dirty one afternoon and do it yourself!
