Install a clutch fork with out removing the tranny???

Pretty sure my clutch fork is bent and wanted to know if it is possible to set the throwout bearing right on the clutch fork without taking off the tranny. Anyone done it or am I just dreaming that it could be done?

There is a way to leave the tranny in and change the clutch fork.

Pull the engine and take the bellhousing off.

Either way one of the two has to come out. How in the world did you bend a clutch fork?
