Clutch housing making noise.

Engine: 305 TPI
Transmission: M5
Clutch housing making noise.

When the car sits in neutral there is a whisling type of a noise coming from the housing.

But when I press the clutch just an inch the noise goes away.

What could it be?

The car has 100,000 miles and the clutch will have to be replacd soon.
