Im not sure the real history of the car, but, I get a 2nd gear chirp easily (sometimes when Im not even trying) and, it also shifts into OD at about 125, with my foot firmly on the floor. I suppose its possible that it has a mild shift kit, because its not a "break your neck" shift.. about the same as the Trans-Go Stage II I had in my 82 Z28, but, maybe a little harsher into 3rd from 2nd. Oh well, I guess if it does have a shift kit, that saves me money *shrugs*
