T-56 swap owners

I just got a 94Z28 parts car and I plan on installing the T-56 in my 92Z. I have everything except the crosmember which I plan on getting from Steve Spohn. Any tips for me. Plus, I thought the speedo was good to go if you have a electronic one?

Look at the tech article for T56's, it explains it there.

And no, you still need a conversion box since the T56 outputs the speedo signal differently than a thirdgen computer.

Get the Dakota Digital box for the speedo. It will let you calibrate after the swap. Mine actually read 15 mph or so slow.

Does that mean I can adjust my speedo if I change gears too? Right now I have 3.23, when I put in the T-56 I want to install 4.10's. Do they have a web site? Thanks for the help!!

I just ordered one. The cyberdyne sucks. You might also consider just taking your old trans crossmember to a welding shop and asking them to move the center back the required length(around 3-4 inches). It took a welding shop by me not even 30 minutes to do it and it only cost me $20.

Good luck! You'll love it!
