Someone was telling me that a 3-4 upshift from GMPP would be a good thing to start off with modding my firebird.

What is this 3-4 upshift? and any idea on a price?

 

The 3-4 shift valve allows you to cruise at a higher speed without the constant upshifts and downshifts from third to fourth. A good mod if you drive at high speeds.

 

My car is an automatic.

Im not good with cars so this upshift thing wouldnt affect me if i have an automatic transmition.????

 

I figured it was an automatic since the F-bodies commonly come with 700R4's and the 3-4 valve is a common modification for the 700R4. You should learn as much as possible before spending any money on this, like I said about the 3-4 valve it's needed mainly if you want to drive really fast in overdrive without the upshifting and downshifting. It wouldn't be my first modification, in fact my 700 doesn't have one but has several other modifications.
