Anatomy of a WC T-5 failure.

Is this what anybody else found after screwing up their T-5 in back of a 350?

I pulled the thing out and the input shaft (which had new bearings awhile back) no has about 1/8" sloppiness when it's wiggled up and down or side to side. I didn't take it apart to see if there was any internal damage yet.
I had a new moroso roller pilot bearing in it when I did the 350... that's destroyed, The flywheel and pressure plate both have major meltdown areas... clutch plate is shot too.

For the T-56 I'm gonna play it safe and just put in a plain stock pilot bearing. Maybe the pilot bearing was a contributing factor, maybe not.

Moral of the story: Don't do any 5 grand clutch dumps with a T-5!!!
