Doug Nash 4+3
Anyone ever done a swap of a Nash 4+3 into a 3rd gen? How well does it hold up to extreme horsepower? What would be the best place to find a spare one, other than the obvious junkyards?

that would = to a bunch of trouble, youd have to have the computer from a corvette to control the overdrive unit. wiring hareness too im guessing. youd need the shifter with the O/D button. your old driveshaft would be the right length but youd need the 4+3 yoke on it. maybe you could rig up the O/D so it only came on with a switch but im not sure. plus youd have to deal with the hard time finding parts for the tranny when it breaks, and the O/D unit going out. theres alot of TSB's on that tranny.

GM stopped using the 4+3 in Corvettes for a reason.

Thanks for the input.
A friend of mine wanted me to do research on this b/c he's got a huge boner over these trannys. Personally, I think it's a horrible idea too. I suggested a Turbo 400 or maybe even a 350, but he wanted the OD unit so f'n bad! I brought up the idea of the Gear Vendors Under/Over unit, but he won't listen to that either. At least now, I've got a second and third opinion behind me.
