Axle flange to axle flange?

A diff swap isn't that easy. Third gens use a torque arm suspension and installing some other junkyard diff is difficult unless you find some way to attach the torque arm or eliminate it by changing the rear suspension design.

Re: Stock diff width?

Axle flange to axle flange would be great.

i wont to know for a starting measurement to plan out what i wont to do with the suspention, i would like to stay with the stock set up. but would like to mini tube it. i would like to know exactaly how wide the diff is to start and add things up from there.

that's a bit hard to decipher. - I'd reccomend using the search key and doing some research on what you're looking to do.

With stock suspension, the only "mini-tub" type job that can be done is most squaring the stock wheel wells to allow a little more room. To fit wider than a 315 tire you will need to alter the suspension to clear the tires. The stock lower control arm mounting location. - All that said, there are plenty of drag radial class cars running low 7's in the 1/4 on stock suspension with hammered/slightly re-worked wheel wells and 285/65/15's.

If you want more tire than what can be fit with minimal mods, you might as well back-half the car and putting steam rollers under it.
