Allright i just pruchased an 86 camaro with a LT1 swap done to it. But the guy that did put in a 400 trans. and ill just say that the work that was done isnt the best. pretty much everything is thrown together. and recently i just found out that somehow the torque converter and flexplate are just free spininng.

So im thinking about doing the swap correctly and thrown in a 4l60e. i figured since i allready have the correct pcm and all im just hoping the wiring harness still has all the hook ups.

I was wondering if i should just stick with trying to find one out of a 4th gen f-body also my lt1 one was a 96 so should i get a 96 and up tranny?

I was also wondering if there should be anyhting i look for? beside like cracks in the case.
