Mysterious noises. Tranny gurus inquire within

When shifting into any gear especially from park, i hear a loud clank. Idle is rough.
Happed from flooring in reverse extreme wheelhop etc. Local shop says may be the Ignition, that solves the rough idle but what about the clank?" Driveshaft? U joints ? Any other ideas?

Might be a broken tranny mount. It happens too often in these cars. When you put the car in gera the tranny will jump and clunk.

Don't EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER put a stock mount back in there. Thats kinda like saying 'ohh, I could spend $14 now and change it soon, or spend $19 now and never change it again'

The poly mounts are interlocked and will never seperate. My beast of a 2.8 tore up 3 stock type mounts in a year 1/2 before I got an energy suspention mount.

Don't listen to him... He wants to see you soon!
