Need t5 help...
So i will be looking at a "new" third gen tomarrow, its a 305/t5, and the only real problem with the car, as he described on the phone, is a loose spring in the trans that hits a clutch housing every now and then, he said it wont and dosent hurt the performance or driveability of the car. But i was just wondering is the common? Would it be a easy fix that i can do in my driveway? Any and all info would be great!

Their shouldn't be any type of spring that can hit the clutch or clutch housing.
I would say drive it see how you like it, but be ready to replace the clutch, or maybe rebuild the tranny.

Re: Need t5 help...
I bought my car with a worn out WC T5 and I can tell you that its worth it to save up if not replace with a T56 because. Cheapest I found for a rebuild is $500 for parts and labor and I would only do it to eventually replace to T56 and use the T5 in my Cosworth Vega and see if it likes 10k rpm at like 270hp 230tq but I even think that is pushing a T5.
