Re: amsoil tranny fluid?
Hi:
I did run Amsoil in my 85 Trans Am with 700R4 transmission. Issue I had was with leaks. Always a spot under the car. Finally had enough and had the tranmission taken out, drained with converter and put back Dexron III, no more issue with leaks.
I run Amsoil Trans fluid in my 1998 Toyota and 2004 Subaru, no issues at all.
Hope this helps
Rob

Re: amsoil tranny fluid?
Once I converted back DEXRON III, Drained Transmission and Torque Converter, Leaks Stopped. I had it in for for 6 months or so before I got tired of the leaks plus going back and forth to the mechanic.
Amsoil is an awesome product. I use the Amsoil 5w30 Oil in my Trans Am and my Daily Driver, 98 Toyota Camry. My Camry and Subaru Forrester both converted to Amsoil Synthetic Transmission fluid, no issues at all.
The fuel additive is also great, but Amsoil is getting expensive these days.
The Cooling system in my TA was converted to Evan NPG+ waterless coolant, which I feel the car runs cooler.
Hope this helps
