can i use my stock converter?
hi,can you use a stock 89' 700r4 v8 stall converter with this size cam
210/220 500/510 114lsa car is 3200lb with out me and has a 3.73 gear
the rpm range is 1400-5400rpms

Stock converter will work fine but one with about 2000 stall will be better.

My experiences with similar combos has me agreeing, you can do it, but you'd like a 2000 stall better. You can pick up a B&M TorkMaster 2000 from Summit for $250.
