What does this wire do?
I am in the process of converting my car from a auto to a t-5. I know that the purple and yellow wires are for the park/neutral switch and I have them hooked up to the clutch switch. I know the green and blue wires are for backup lights. There are two more wires that the book (haynes and chilton) says are the park/neutral switch. I looked at the diagrams and switch is wired to the ECM (closed when the car is in park or neutral). My question is what does the ECM do with this signal? Does it change the way the engine runs when the car is in park? Does any one know what will happen if I just don't hook up those wires?
Thanks

As I recall one of those wires is black with a white stripe. It was hooked up to the NSS. It will need to be wired to the emergency brake. Otherwise you will need to push on the clutch in order to open the hatch.
