Question, I have a T5 in my 90/Iroc and I thought the shift ball was loose, apon trying to tighten it down I discovered the whole shaft is turning(never tightens down)is this normal??? Is there a circlip that holds the shaft or something else?

Get rid of that POS stock shifter and get something else, like a Hurst Comp Plus, or a B&M, or a Pro 5.0. It's the whole handle turning.
