new t-56

i'm thinking of buying a brand new t-56. i want to know is it worth getting a new one over used. i would prefer new given the variables that can be involved with used transmissions. how much are the rest of theparts needed for swap.

A new T56 costs $2200 for the tranny alone IIRC. If ya want, I am selling everything needed for a 6-speed conversion for $1400. Im putting a TH350 in my car instead, as its going to be a race-only car. These trannys are bulletproof, so I wouldn't worry about anything breaking or wearing out on a used one.
