governor calibration question

I know that changing the weights on the governor changes the WOT shifts points. So changing the springs changes the part throttle shifts? What happens when you put lighter springs, does that raise the part throttle shift points or vice-versa?
Any help is apreciated.

The rule of thumb is light/later. Also the combo of one heavier and one lighter spring also tends to push the curve up at higher RPM.
