When changing over from Qjet to holley my
mechanic fabricated a home made cable with
a set screw to adjust the T.V. cable.Can anyone tell me how to set-up the tension?Is it possible to bring the shift points up to
5200-5500 by adjusting the cable?

From my knowledge of the tv cable, you shouldn't adjust it to get the tranny to shift later, the cable controls line pressure in the tranny and by adjusting it improperly can damage a tranny.

Just a quick question, when you had the Holley put on you did get a Non CC Distributor, right, I made this mistake and the carb was constantly dumping fuel (10mpg).

With a stock tranny and correct TV geometry there is only one correct setting and that is with the engine at WOT the TV cable must be at WOT. To get higher WOT shift points requires a different governor.
