Transmission: 4L80E/4L80E
Axle/Gears: 12B-3.73/9"-3.89
JB Weld won't stick well to an oily surface. If you can absolutely clean that line of oil, roughen up the surface a bit, you might get it to work.
An easier solution would be to get a splice fitting, cut the line on each side of the hole, and install the fitting. Another possibility is a piece of 3/8" high pressure oil hose clamped on as a splice.

It would probably work, but why take the
risk of frying your tranny if the JB Weld
were to fall off? Use a 5/16" compression
fitting to splice the line or replace the line. I usually make mine from a 5/16" x 60"
brake line. If you prefer, buy a used one from a salvage yard. Just make sure the lines
don't rub on something such as the edge of
your oil pan.
