ok my car used to only spin one tire when i would do a brake torque....and at cruise night my car was catching posi all night long and i tired again today and it is still doing it......my bro says that my rear end is going out...he said that the spider gear is getting old and is sticking and it means my rear end is gonna go out soon......but my car still only spins one tire around corners and stuff like that......is it going out or am i just getting lucky that my car is catching posi so much??

Probably luck, although you might have a wee bit more weight on the right side that's helping traction.

If you haven't done so recently, you might consider pulling the cover from the rear and looking things over anyway. If you haven't changed the gear lube, now's a good time to do so. If you find chunks & sparklies in there, you know your brother is right, but you don't necessarily have to tell him...

MY brother had a '66 Impala SS 327 4-speed in the early '70's that would pull posi's. I know for a fact it was open, and that rear was still going strong when he sold that car (I was overseas when he did, could have strangled him).
