4l60 swap wiring?

4l60 swap wiring?

I got a 4l60 with a 5 pin connector and I need to know what each pin dose or how to wire up the lockup.

a 5 pin? Never heard of anything other than the standard 4 pin. Never seen anything in the ATSG books either, but I wasn't really looking.

you will need a 5 pin connector (part number ???? 24502513 ???). remove the pins from the 4 prong basicly you pull a pin put in a spot on 5 pin connector and follow the same for b, c,and d .........e isnt used.. from what im also reading you need to change the 4th gear clutch switch as well to a n/c (normally closed) unit gm part number 8683502

the black connector came on late camaro's, etc. it differed from the four pin previously used. Why hook up with the old stuff? just remove your old pan and hook the wiring up the way it used to be in your old four pin trans using your old switches and t.c.c. solenoid. Both connector holes are round, it's just the connectors that the old one is square and the new one is round. Again use your old wiring in the new trans.
