I have a V6 89 firebird so I gues the correct name of tranny is the V6 version of the 700R4,

I just bough the car and It has 80K miles on it and runs great...tranny shifts fine AFTER a second of being in the gear I choose...

For example:

- I start the car (starts fine...good idle)
- BUT when I put the car on Reverse or Drive...I cant feel the car pulling until about 2-3 seconds I put it on reverse...Then (when I feel it pull) I can press the gas and the car moves ...

However If I dont allow the 2-3 seconds (till I feel car pulling)..and I just press the gas...The car does not move at all...(just as if it was in PARK ...it just iddles louder with no mevement)

- It does the same thing in all gears R,D, other D,1, 2,


Please help me out with some ideas and opinions
