hey please help guys, got an '86 iroc with 355 and i'm bolting this to a th350. what all is involved and where do i get it. some say i have to move my crossmember, and buy a bracket for the panhandle bar... others say i have to swap tail housings and yet others say i have to buy a longer panhandle bar- and move my crossmember. if you have any ideas or links to this advice i'd appreciate it. this is about the last step i'd like to figure out before i drop the beast into the pony killer. thanks

 

I did this on my 84 about 11 years ago. If I remeber right I only had to buy an adapter for the tourqe rod (probly the wrong name, it's the bar that goes from the axle to the back of the trans). I picked one up from Jeg's back then. I don't rember having to move the cross member.

 

thanks i just saved a bunch of money switching to ... wait no, i saved a bunch of money thanks to you bro... i'm ordering the bracket! will post pics later, right now the only thing pretty on my car is the engine and the money i've spent....

 

Check into it a little more, but I really don't rember swapping out any hting else, just the bracket.
