Help! Need flywheel bad
I'm doing a tranny swap and turns out I aquired the wrong flywheel (5 speed T-5). I need one for an 89 TPI (12.75" od, 153 tooth, 10.4" contact, 3" bolt pattern). I know the 89 TPI flywheel took the 10.4" and 11" but the clutch I have aquired was for an 85 Camaro TPI. Does anyone know where I could find a flywheel used. There $200 at the dealer and I really want to avoid that expense. Thanks in advance.

You could try ebay parts. Or better yet try a local junk yard have them put it on the hotline if they dont have one in stock.

Hey man, I have a flywheel from a 92 RS (the same as the 89). It was resurfaced and ready for me to put in when i did my swap. I got under the car and realized that I needed the older larger diameter flywheel since I had an older motor. So I have this flywheel which I had resurfaced and it is exactly what you need. I want 50 bucks for it plus shipping which is fair since it cost me 30 to get it resurfaced. Well let me know what you think or if you are interested. Email me at PaulT28@aol.com to let me know because that is my primary email account. Hope this helps you some.
