How Exactly Do You Replace The VSS

Car: 90 Formula WS6, 86 Sport Coupe
Engine: 305 TBI, 2.8 MPFI
Transmission: 700r4, 700r4w/vette servos
Axle/Gears: 2.73 Open, 3.42 Open
How Exactly Do You Replace The VSS

My haynes manual doesn't give any info for replacing the vss. Is it easily replaceable or do I need to have a tranny shop do it? Also, are all VSS's for an electric speedo 700r4 the same? rockauto.com lists different "option labels," D8F, D8I, D8E, etc.

You can swap it (one bolt, IIRC). Check this link:
