I had one in a turbo 350, before installing it I rolled it around and listened to it, sounded like a piece if weld slag was in it, sure enough after the first fluid change there it was in the pan.
I have a breakawy now, no problems with it. I think they are built better than B&M as as far as having furnas brazed fins, unlike most of B&M's converters.

I purchace a TCI Streetfighter 700R4 and a TCI converter. With only 2000 miles on it the front pump went out. I had the tranny 3 months before I could put the tranny in.(someone stole my block from the machine shop) So the warranty was out. I had it rebuilt and 2300 miles later the same thing happened. Tranny shop rebuilt it for free(super decent) and 1800 miles later the samething happend. Out came the tranny and in went a 5-speed. The tranny still sits in the shop floor. I am not happy with thier products!

They were never able to narrow it down. I belive it had to do with the converter because when it was fully engaged on the tranny it just barely meshed with the front pump. And the 2 ears the converer mess with was what kept breaking. I tried another new TCI converteron the second rebuild and it was the same. This is not a flame of TCI. Just my bad luck.
