Will it be okay to run the 15 tooth drive with the 37 tooth driven gear for awhile or they not supposed to be used together. I'm waiting on a housing for the 41 tooth i have to put in. The only reason i ask is because when i turn the tires by hand there is a clicking sound from what sounds like the speedometer gears in the tranny.

 

I'm going to assume that these CANNOT be used together then??

 

Of course they can. The real issue is much more likely that the 15 tooth gear is cracked.

 

That would really suck if that gear is cracked i just put it in there brand new from gm

 

Well i pulled the driven gear and housing off and everything was fine, the clicking was just something in the tranny, so i will leave it until i get the correct parts.
