Best tranny ???

I am looking at the t-56 Lt-1 swap, but I am not sure this is the best route to take. Would I be better off buying a tranny that is already beefed up and go from there to find the parts to do the swap. Also is the LS1 style clutch better? I am making 600 + hp and 500+ tq. Before I spray it. Probably won't ever get it to hook but I don't want any issues if I do.

Thanks for any input
Collier

There are lots of Transmission shops in Texas, but if you have a shop do it, it might be the same cost (or more) of getting one already built. If you're already putting down that much power and you're gonna run it and add spray, I'd think you'd be better off doing it right, right off the bat.

FWIW, I have a viper-spec LT1 T56 in the classifieds already built. My friend in San Antinio just built one like it for $2000 + the cost of the LT1 T56..
