Ok here it goes. My tranny shifts in all gears, but 1st and 2nd feels like it slips when shifting into next gear. Also when driving on freeway when I go to step on it it sometimes doesn't catch the overdrive and when it does it makes a loud clunk sound. Oh and by the way it was recently rebuilt.

 

UP UNTIL 90 the 700r4 had problems with shifting. it would literally work itself to death, shifting up and down. somehow they got the problem fixed in 90 and i did not have a problem with my 90 or 91 - both bought new. but the ones before that, also bought new, had trans problems. heck the trans fell out of a new FB 4 days after it was bought.
