GM makes aluminum driveshafts that fit our cars, they cost about $350. Get them from any of the discount GMPP dealers.

For a carbon fiber driveshaft go to: http://www.acpt.com/driveshaft/drive.html

Well, I just posted it because a. he's our sponsor, b. I got one on order because c. I tried to get my aluminum shaft balanced and they handed it back to me and said it's warped and my stock steel one had numerous bench vise dents in it.
Just another hunk of metal that I've broken with the chicken so far this year.

If you're interested in a used aluminum one, drop me an e-mail. I have the one I took off my '91 GTA.

Welcome to the board.

Kind of an old thread to revive.

If you're looking for a driveshaft for the street, not sure a carbon fibre driveshaft is worth paying more than say a 4th gen alum. one that can be had for $100-150.

They pop here from time to time or try some of the 4th gen forums or ebay.

Re: Driveshaft

The aluminum third-gen driveshafts are a good option.

At some point, the fourth-gen aluminum driveshafts went to thinner-wall, cardboard-damped garbage and many should be avoided. I don't know if that's the one GMPP sells.

Aftermarket is always a good option.
