5 speed tranny fluid

I have a t5 with red fluid in it,or so it was. But I did an engine swap and lost the fluid. I guess my question is, is this atf ( I believe it is) and can I put new in through the shifter or the plug on the side till its full?

Thanks for the help. Im assuming to get it in the top plug on the side of the tranny I need a funnel from inside the car gear shifter area.

I'd use a small pump available at most parts stores.
