Ok so I was at autozone last night getting a trans filter kit and was BSing with one of the guys and telling him about my 200c to350 swap and such. Well anyway he made the comment that the speedo gears "in the transmition" on a 200c are the same as a turbo 350. Is this true? 12$ for a speedo gear isnt a big deal and I already installed the correct gear in the 350 but im curiuos?
I dont have a book covering the 200c so I though I would ask here.

also, what probs did you face or will face during your swap. i am gearing up to do the same swap. how much did you get the trans for, and what did you do to it (shift kits etc). thanks

BTT means "back to top" it send the post to the top of the page.

There was no cost involved in this swap because the transmition was already in my camaro and I traded a muncie 4 speed for a new B&M 400 and a shifter. I put the 400 "still not hooked up correctly stupid electronic downshift stuff" and poped the 350 into my fbrid 200c "bolt in easy job" you just need to hook up the vacuum modulator to the maifold via a vacuum line.
But I beleive the cost was originaly around 400$ 300$ for the transmition with shift kit already installed "used", 30$ for a driveshaft out of a 200c eqquiped fbody, 10$ for a crossmember also stock 200c, 25$ for a new trans mount. About 400$ total including filter kit/fluid.
