What is a v6 T5 worth?

I just found a v6 T5 from a Camaro at a scrap yard, all i know is that it goes into all gears and turns and it needs the front bearing replaced. The front bearing is Timkin though, and the car is an 89 or newer?? What should I pay for this?

With it needing a bearing I would offer no more than $100 for it . And the only difference in a v8 and v6 trans is the input shaft . This info comes from my local Pontic dealer and a trusted trans shop . All F-body t5s are the exact same inside . The only varyations are between worldclass and non-worldclass .

This is not entirely true.. Many of the I4 and V6 T5 had lower gear ratios, to overcome the power difference in those motors. With more low end motor power (V8s), you can use higher gear ratios and still get a vehicle moving. To achieve the lower gear ratio, you must have more and smaller teeth on the gears, and they prove to be the weak link.

So you can claim the only difference is the input, but that same input determines the gear ratios and gear sizes of all the other gears, so replacing the input usually has you replacing most if not all the gears inside also..

So, anyone else?? What is it worth? Is the front bearing hard to replace?
