VSS wires on the tailshaft

VSS wires on the tailshaft
i know this should be on electronics. but what color should the wires from the VSS to the wireing harness be?
i was told yellow and purple, but i cna't find them in the harness or anywhere in the engine bay (other then the yellow going to the windsheild wipers and the big purple one going to the starter)

those wires if your car was equipped with them would be under the car near the tranny

lets say the engine and transmission was removed, as well as the wireing.. then put back in, in what i thought was the same way..
i can't find the one to connect to the transmission.
so i'm wondering if the one that connects to the VSS on the tailshaft is from the passanger side or driver side wireing harness, and what color they are.
