Erratic shifting
First I'll start off with the fact that I'm new here and I'm savy, but far from a gear head. I have a 1986 Camaro 2.8L with a A4 tranny. I just got the car for $500 and bought it for a project (I seen potential). Minus a few minor issues, the car runs pretty sound and I'll admit that for what I payed, I expected much worse.
My issue is that when on the highway, it will jump in and out of OD at random times. Speed ect doesnt matter other than the fact that it wont happen until I'm over the 50mph mark. On a standard drive to work, it may do it 3-4 times, other trips it wont do it at all.
Anyone have any ideas? Oh, and 1 last thing. 2nd gear will hang occasionally also. Both letting off the throttle or even getting into the throttle a bit will "force" the shift. Again, an erratic occurance.
Thanks to anyone who responds.

Re: Erratic shifting
The 3-4 issue comes up alot in this forum. If adjusting the Throttle Valve cable doesn't help, then I don't know, because Of the dozen and more 700R-4s I've had, none ever did that to me.
