T5 rebuild ?'s Pics inside.
Pics aren't working. Sorry.
I have a 1984 T5 NWC and I bought the rebuild kit and video from Hanlon, but the counter shaft on mine doesn't have the cover with 4 bolts like the one in the video. It looks to me to be totally pressed in. So do I just press the whole shaft out, bearings and all at once? Or is there some other way to do it?
Thanks. This is the only part holding me up. The rest is done. Also what should the end play be on it? I have about 30 thousandths of end play. Seems a bit much. Thanks.

Can't see the pics...
If it's a non-"WC" trans, then the easiest way to get the countershaft out, is to press it out from the front, bearings and all as a unit. Then when you go to put it back together, put the gear in first; then the spacer washer for the rear bearing, and the thrust washer at the front; then the rear bearing; then the front bearing with some kind of sealer on its outer edge. I haven't seen the video but I'm gong to assume from you description that it shows a "WC" trans. .030" of endplay in the countergear is reasonable.
