rearend question
Not very streetable at all, I had one in a '71 Opel GT with a toyota 22R engine with four weber carbs, etc. It would want to plow straight on curves and would always sqeal the tires even on the slightest turn. Of course it would be different in a heavy car, if you're talking about an F body with a 7.5 or 7.65 rear it wouldn't slip the tires much around corners instead it would place tremndous strain on the axles, it would twist them apart adventually. Driving in the rain would be completly unpredictable, you'd be better off staying far away from the spool idea.
not at all streetable, buy a posi for your car

I know people running a spool on the street in f-bodies and they have no problem. Sure, the inside wheel will spin on turns. Perhaps the Opel got much better traction on both rear wheels because it had IRS. Our cars are plain old solid axles. Hey, I locked up the diff on my riding lawnmower so it could get up the hills on my lawn. It just won't turn as tight anymore.
