Normal Tranny shift points?
So my problem was that my tranny would shift into od at 39 mph. My buddy told me that the 700r4 should shift into od around 55-57. So I adjusted it to be just like that. Is it normal for my 88 camaro to shift into OD at 55-57? I think it may be 5 mph to high. Any ideas!!
Re: Normal Tranny shift points?
39 is about right, as long as the other shifts are at the right speed. 37-47 mph is what I have seen over the years, and this is normal for 3.23 - 3.73's. Thare always exceptions.

39 is way to early to be shifting into OD. When it does its so low in rpm the car shakes violently

its locking up. When I take my foot off the gas the rpm's go up around 100-150 rpm so I know its unlocking. i will figure this out someday
