will a v-6 tranny and bellhousing work behind a v-8?
will a v-6 tranny and bellhousing work behind a v-8?
i have access to a free bellhousing, pedals, and other stuff from a v-6 car. dont get the tranny though. i was wondering if a f-body v-6 bellhousing will work behind a v-8, its said to be from a 2,8 v-6 also.
if it will work, can i bolt any tranny to the bellhousing or do i need an f-body tranny?
also, i have a 700R4 in my 83 crossfire car now. i just put in a carb'ed 350 and i dont have the TV cable hooked up because i need to find the right bracket. ive been told i have to replace the TV cable because the crossfire ones wont work with a carb. i have driven the car and it doesnt shift hard anymore. i know there was somekind of shiftkit put in the car by the previous owner and it would chirp the tires hittin 2nd everytime with my tired 305, now it shifts like grannys buick.
would that be because the TV cable isnt hooked up?
any info apprietiated

Definately; the 700r4 lives off that TV cable. Run without it, and you can burn the trans up due to insufficient line pressure.
