ok.. here is the deal.. i am building my car to to some nive high speed racing. if i go with 3.42's i will be able to hit 180's mph. but if i do 3.73's ill only do 160's but my 1/4 will be .2-.3 sec less. as of right now im not doing the high speed racing, but in the near future i want to.. which 1 should i do?

 

Here's the deal.... drag racing cars and top speed cars are set up completly different. For drag racing you want the highest numerical gear (4.11 for ex.) to get the best launch, high speed cars need lower numerical gears (2.41 for ex.) Buy and set up two different rears, one for drag racing and one for high speed racing...or better still buy two cars and set them up for the racing you intend to do with them.
