another 9 bolt question!

Could anybody please tell me how much a 9 bolt can take? I have heard good and bad, was wondering what it would take to make one last. I have a 450-475 horse 383 SBC, turbo 400, 3500 stall TCI, 28" tall drag radial, and would like to switch to 4.11. Any

I'd say that you better be looking at a 12 bolt. I don't think the 9 bolt is going to last long with that combination. Run it until it breaks.

Re: another 9 bolt question!

Ive heard the very limit of them reliably being around 350 whp..though there are guys who run way more with no problems. Its all in how you drive. they are still a 7 3/4 inch rear so its never going to be all that strong... a bit stronger than a 10 bolt but not by much.
