What speedo combo is green/driven, blue/drive on a 84 T5?

The car I pulled the tranny from (84 HO Z28) "should" have had 3.73's from the RPO's, but it had a 87 3.45 9bolt. I need to know if there is such a thing as a blue drive gear(T5) or is it really purple and the color has changed(?)

I don't know how many teeth it has (tranny's at the shop), and I need the white/purple combo for my setup(3.45's). So it would save me about $20 if I only had to replace one gear..... Thanks

There is a blue drive gear. It comes with 7 teeth. You can use purple or white driven gears with it. IIRC for 3.42s you want 7 and 20 or 21 depending on tire size. Right now I have 7 blue and 19 purple in my T-5 with 3.73s.

Stock for 3.42/3.45 is 7 tooth purple(blue) and 19 tooth white. The 20 or 21 is for 3.70/3.73. But it depends on your tire size too.

I went to the shop to take a look at the gears and it allready had 7/19 combo. The white is a little off color and looked like a light green, so I guess I lucked out and didn't need to change gears..... Thanks for all the help though.

Oops I got it backwards... Kevin is right... I took the 19 purple out and put the 21 purple in, not the other way around.
